From July 2 to 5, 2023, the final evaluation meeting and award ceremony of the Foundry Process Design Competition was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and more than 450 representatives from participating universities and industry representatives who were concerned about the competition attended the meeting.

Through the final evaluation, a total of 46 first prizes, 49 second prizes and 282 third prizes were awarded this year. The final evaluation meeting of the competition was strongly supported by the People's Government of Huishan District of Wuxi City, and the guests attending the award ceremony included the vice chairman of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the vice chairman of the Foundry Institute of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the mayor of Wuxi Huishan District and important leaders of relevant departments such as the Science and Technology Bureau.

During the final of the competition, a variety of concurrent activities were also held, whcih including: the 2023 Foundry Process Design Competition School-Enterprise Exchange Meeting, the Casting Process Design Specification Special Lecture, the factory visit of Wuxi Dicasta Wheel Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and the 2023 Casting Process Design Competition "Team Popularity Award" online voting selection, with a cumulative total of 61,000 visits and 36,000 votes. The holding of the competition has played a strong and positive role in the cultivation of young students' casting professional quality, professional ability training, combination of theory and practice, and improvement of innovation and entrepreneurship ability.
