Subcommittee 2 on Cast Irons of National Technical Committee 54 on Foundry of Standardization Administration of China(SAC/TC54/SC2) held a national standard drafting working meeting in Changzhou city, Jiangsu Province, on December 13, 2021, including “Metallographic test for gray cast irons” and “Metallographic test for compacted(vermicular) graphite cast irons”.

 “Metallographic test for gray cast irons” was the revision of GB/T 7216-2009 Metallographic test for gray cast irons, and “Metallographic test for compacted(vermicular) graphite cast irons” was the revision. of GB/T 26656-2011 Metallographic test for compacted(vermicular) graphite cast irons. Both two national standards were drafted by CRRC QISHUYAN INSTITUTE CO., LTD.

The standards drafting were required to continue to revise according to the opinions put forward by committees attending the meeting, . submitted to the Secretariat of National Technical Committee 54 on Foundry of Standardization Administration of China.

Experts attending the meeting have no significant differences on the revisions of two standards.
