Founded in 1952, FOUNDRY is the first journal on foundry technology in China.

It is Chinese Core Journal, Source Journal for Chinese Scientific Paper Statistics, US Chemical Abstract (CA) Source Journal, and Chinese Science and Technology Literature Database Source Journal and has been indexed by more than 20 databases at home and abroad.

FOUNDRY has won many major awards in Chinese publishing industry, including Nomination for the 2nd National Journal Award , the 3rd National Journal Award, Nomination for the 2nd Chinese Government Award for Publishing, and the Northern China Top 10 Periodicals Award for three times. In addition, it has been listed as one of China Top 100 Scientific and Technological Periodicals in 2013, 2015 and 2017, and included into "China Periodical Matrix" and "China Excellent Science and Technology Journal of International Influence".
