Since the establishment of Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) in 1962, throughout devotes to the Chinese casting trade development, strengthens with the various countries casting organization's exchange and the cooperation, FICMES extensively develops the domestic and foreign casting industry academic, technological exchange and the trade cooperation.

 

FICMES is made up of council with it's under setting 14 technical committee and 8 working committees. Membership is respectively from the domestic and foreign relevant enterprises, the university, the R&D institution, the trade organization and so on.

FICMES officially admitted to be a member of the World Foundry Organization (WFO) in 1978, was keeping the close contact with the various countries casting organization, and has established the good cooperation relations. FICMES successfully held the 61st World Foundry Conference (WFC) in 1995, Beijing, China. 668 representatives attended the conference which from 38 countries and areas. The conference obtained the WFO and representatives' strong praise.

 

FICMES has already obtained the 69th World Foundry Conference sponsorship in 2010, it is believed that this will become the banquet of the world casting industry, let us meet in 2010, China.
